Meet Dr. Gina Mueller
Gina Mueller, DDS
My profession is my passion. I put a lot of pressure on myself to be the best dentist that I can. I know that it isn’t the easiest thing for patients to come in to have dental work done, so I want to make it a good experience for them and do the best dentistry I can for them. I love working with our unique staff and patients and I’m so grateful to be able to do what I do.
I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1997 for my undergraduate education. I completed my dental training at the University Of Illinois College Of Dentistry, graduating with my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2001. I then attended the University of Minnesota College of Dentistry for my Postdoctorate training in Pediatric Dentistry, graduating in 2007.
Continuing education is very important to me as I understand the value of new technology developed in the dental field. Dentistry is a complex, diverse field with so much information and I know I’ll always be taking classes and learning more to allow me to treat my patients with the best care possible. I have attended numerous courses and seminars on a variety of topics, including:
- The Las Vegas Institute Clinical Curriculum on Lasers, 2009
- The Frank Spear Institute at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry on Occlusion, 2009
- Dental Laser Certified, 2009
- Invisalign® Premier Provider
- Pride Institute Continuing Education, 2010
- Six Month Smiles® Cosmetic Braces Certified, 2010
- Nobel Implant Practicum, 2011-2012
- Rondeau Seminars on Orthodontics for the General Practitioner, 2010-2012
I reside in Ottawa with my husband, Craig, a teacher and coach at Ottawa Township High School, and our American bulldog, Duke. In my free time, I enjoy running 5Ks, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I was excited to finish the Indianapolis Half Marathon on May 2, 2009!
I am involved in the community and participate in many service organizations including the Will County Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, the Illinois Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the C.W. Avery Family YMCA, and the Will Grundy Medical Clinic.
